Adele Spegman, PhD, MS

Dr. Spegman's research interests focus on the impact of communication on child development and subsequent healthcare practices. Communication patterns and practices influence individuals' health practices and understandings. Although communication patterns are shaped over time, the foundations for interpersonal interaction develop early in life. Her current studies are examining communication among health professionals in a rural tertiary care center as an indicator of a 'healthy work environment' and supports for quality care for school-aged children with chronic health needs.
