Gwen Alexander, PhD

Dr. Alexander completed her master's and doctoral education in health behavior and health education from the University of Michigan School of Public health, following eight years of public health and health education work in North Carolina and Oklahoma. She served as assistant director for curriculum evaluation, also evaluating standardized patient instruction learning at the University of Michigan Medical School for over 10 years prior to joining the Henry Ford Health System's Josephine Ford Cancer Center. Dr. Alexander has worked in health promotion behavior change research, cancer communication, and physician-patient communication research during her years in the Department of Public Health Sciences. Her hobbies include travel, gardening and cooking.
