Katie Walsh, MD, MSc

Dr. Walsh is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UMass Medical School, has expertise in the assessment of medication errors in inpatient and outpatient setting, and in chronically ill children. She has experience in the measurement of errors using administrative data, comprehensive chart and incident report review, direct observation of medication use in the home, and qualitative semi-structured interviews. She is supported by a Robert Wood Johnson Physician Faculty Scholars Program career award and a Charles H Hood Foundation Award to investigate the prevention of errors in outpatient medication use among chronically ill children. For fun, Dr. Walsh likes to garden, run, swim, sail, play piano, and is learning taekwondo.
