Kerk Kee, PhD

Kerk F. Kee (Ph.D., University of Texas at Austin) actively conducts research in the areas of emerging technologies and social media as well as health and organizational communication. His recent work appears in journals such as CyberPsychology, Behavior, & Social Networking, Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, Computer Supported Cooperative Work, and IEEE Computer. A forthcoming chapter (co-authored with Jim Dearing) on diffusion theory will appear in Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health: Translating Science to Practice (Oxford University Press). His current projects include looking at how social media data can be used to identify social aggregates to aid in the diffusion of health interventions, cyberinfrastructure adoption in scientific organizations, and organizational use of social media for distributed collaboration and virtual organizing. On a personal note, Kerk is a certified yoga instructor.
