The CCRC is affiliated through our work with a number of health research, health delivery, and disease prevention organizations. 

The Division of Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences [DCPPS] of the National Cancer Institute awarded five Centers of Excellence in Cancer Communication Research [CECCRs] in 2008. These five- year awards renew the work of four previously funded CECCRs at the Universities of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Washington University St. Louis. The Cancer Communication Research Center was the only new CECCR awarded during this second round of funding. In addition to the core NCI funding, the CCRC is actively pursuing additional project funding from funding agencies and foundations.
