Product Development and Implementation Science Research Special Program Area
The mission of this Special Program Area is to facilitate the transition of evidence-based interventions, tools, and other products from the research field into the real world through conducting studies on usability, relevance, applicability and small and large scale implementation.
Products might emerge internally from CCRC-affiliated research studies and other projects or externally from other research groups, national agencies, or foundations. Activities include formal usability testing of tools with a variety of possible users, recommendations on dissemination and implementation strategies, and small and large scale implementation of products. We perform these activities using an interdisciplinary approach and tapping into learnings from implementation science, human factor engineering, and user-centered design.
We are most closely affiliated with the mission of the National Cancer Institute Division of Implementation Science and the Health Communication and Informatics Research Branch.
